We’re looking for candidates who can balance the wisdom that comes from solid work experience with the passion to push the limits and always take a fresh approach. We love people who work to create, collaborate and contribute — and have fun doing it! In spite of our explosive growth, we’ve maintained our entrepreneurial spirit, which means we work as a team, celebrate each other’s achievements and give it all we’ve got, every day.

You must be passionate, competitive, positive, determined, focused and driven to achieve “top dog” status. A desire to help shape and grow this channel of business within North America’s #1 rated pet insurance company — an organization that is creating market share, rather than simply capturing it — is needed.

The ideal candidate will be a credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT) or Certified Practice Manager (CVPM) who will enjoy working for a dynamic and fast-paced organization and who prides themselves on being an exceptional educator and driver of change in the pet health industry. Being able to demonstrate a proven record of building successful sales territories, developing long-lasting relationships and consistently exceeding expectations for sales productivity and/or territory management will be considered an asset. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in veterinary medicine within a practice environment, along with two (2) years of experience as a field sales representative within the veterinary services, pharmaceutical or equipment field would be ideal. A high standard of professionalism and a commitment to customer service is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Pet lover a must! The position is a full time, contract role and employees will receive competitive commission and bonus compensation on new business policies and renewal policies.
At Petplan, it’s not just about what we get, but what we give. Our “Petplanthropy” program empowers employees to give back to the pet-specific causes they believe in, as well as work together to support the company’s “pet” projects — like raising funds for MS Service Dogs, organizations like the North Shore Animal League America, Best Friends Animal Society, National Police Dog Foundation, and animal health researchers like the Morris Animal Foundation.
At Petplan, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community. Petplan is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
