We are looking for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing quality medicine while in a shelter environment. Approximately 75% - 100% of sterilizations are outsourced… some surgery and S/N, but mostly shelter medicine and triage.
Our shelter finds homes of 100% of all adoptable pets. 100% of canines receive a rabies vaccine. 100% of eligible pets receive flea and tick prevention (flea free facility!) Our average “Length of Stay” is less than 1-week. Our “Live Release Rate” is above 90%.
Our medical department is equipped with a variety of medical equipment, including, digital x-ray, ultrasound machine, dental cleaning, K-laser (cold-laser) equipment and more.
Hospital responsibilities include:
Orchestrating medical care primarily of cats, dogs, and includes other animals.
Spay/neuter surgeries (minimal).
Other surgeries including but not limited to amputations, enucleations, mass removals cystotomy, etc.
Working collaboratively with other departments for the best outcome of each animal.
Supporting humane investigation cases/cruelty
Disease outbreak management
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD)
Eligible to be license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Ohio. (We will pay fees.)
Current DEA license for controlled substances (We will pay for renewal fees.)
